Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing Mammissi Birth Services. We are honored to support you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. To ensure clarity and fairness for all clients, please review our policy before booking. 1. Reservations & Confirmation All bookings are tentative until a signed service agreement and deposit are received. Once complete, your due date is secured. Because we accept a limited number of clients per month, bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. 2. Deposits & Payments A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at booking to reserve your space on our calendar. The remaining balance is due by 37 weeks of pregnancy or your second prenatal visit, whichever comes first. Payments may be made via Zelle, PayPal, or cash (fees apply). Returned checks incur a $35 fee. Births outside New Jersey include a $250 travel fee, with additional fees for extended travel. 3. Payment Plans Payment plans may be available upon request. All installment payments are non-refundable and must be completed by 37 weeks unless otherwise agreed in writing. 4. Cancellations & Refunds Deposits and payments are non-refundable, as they reserve your place and limit the number of clients we serve. If you cancel, payments may be credited toward future services within 12 months at our discretion. If we must cancel due to illness or emergency, a qualified backup doula will be provided. If no backup is available due to our error, the birth support portion of your fee will be refunded. 5. Scheduling & Communication Prenatal and postpartum visits are scheduled collaboratively and must be confirmed at least 48 hours in advance. From three weeks before your due date, your doula is on-call 24/7 until birth. Please notify your doula at the onset of labor or rupture of membranes to allow adequate travel time. 6. Virtual Sessions For virtual clients, Google Meet links will be provided after booking. Please ensure a quiet, comfortable environment and reliable internet connection. 7. Confidentiality All personal information shared is kept strictly confidential. Non-identifiable data may be used for documentation or professional development purposes. 8. Agreement By booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms, including the non-refundable deposit, payment deadlines, and communication policies.
